AN INSIDE THE LINES DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAM
HOW ASSIST WORKS
1. SIGN UP
Register to correspond with an inmate or several inmates who attended an Inside the Lines event.* (Need to be 18 or older)
2. ADOPT
You will receive the name of an inmate who you can begin writing to. Men write men and ladies write ladies. If you need help knowing what to write head to the "What to Write" page.
3. WRITE
Send a letter to the inmate by emailing the letter to the Assist staff. Make sure you use an email account that you check often.
4. WAIT
The Assist staff will print your letter, place it in an envelope, put a stamp on it and send it to the inmate. Or, some states even allow inmates to receive emails. Either way....no hassle or printing! No cost to you!
5. RECEIVE
When an inmate sends a letter back, you will receive it through your email account. Reply to respond and a letter will go back.
*Your real name, email address, or physical address will not be seen by the inmate.

WHY THE ASSIST
PROGRAM?
Inside the Lines uses sports programs as a tool to preach the gospel inside prisons all over the United States. Almost all of the inmates that respond to the preaching of the Word of God want someone to continue communicating with them on a regular basis. Unfortunately, many states do not allow the Inside the Lines staff to write to them. But YOU can!
As a ministry, we have seen and heard that inmates are desperate to receive mail. Why not use that as an opportunity to teach them more of the truth of the Word of God?!
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
